Maybe you wouldn’t take it from his kind smile, but he can take green energy and sustainability issues very seriously. This is Tobias. He just joined Comodule as a Senior Sales Manager, but he has made a name for himself for quite some time now. Who is this mysterious fella’? As a Top Gun, is he as famous in micromobility industry as Tom Cruise is in Hollywood? Let’s find out!

Who is Tobias?

‘I was born in Nuremberg, where I spent my childhood and also my university time. Then things got messy and I spent time living and working in various places like Berlin, Munich  USA, various South American countries, and even worked in India for some time. After having this international environment and cultural input for more than 10 years it felt quite nice coming back to the roots and starting with Comodule back in the heart of Franconia.’

There’s a reason we call him the Top Sales Gun...

‘I think my childhood dream has always been to become a fighter jet pilot. I was incredibly fascinated by these machines and Top Gun helped to intensify that desire :)'

What does Tobias do at Comodule?

Tobias is the newest Senior Sales Manager at our office in Nuremberg, Germany.

Did it seem natural coming to work in this field?

‘After university, I decided that I would like to work in a field where I can contribute to improving life on our planet. I spent 6 years working in the solar energy industry as having clean power was (and is still) a major factor to improve the everyday life of many people, especially in developing countries. After that, it felt like a natural fit to be part of green mobility as well.’

Any hobbies?

‘I hike, ski, run, bike, travel.’

(Didn’t see any jet piloting in this list...yet…)

How do you normally commute to work?

‘At the moment I don't commute at all due to Covid, but I plan on having a modal mix for my commute to the Comodule Nuremberg office, using the train, bike, car depending on the season.’

Where do you see the micro-mobility industry growing in the future?

‘I see mobility becoming a service instead of a product. This will allow us to make use of the advantages of many new vehicle types choosing always choose the best technology for our trip. I would like to be able to use an e-bike for grocery shopping, a train on a long national commute, a campervan for a summer trip, and an e-scooter to the next restaurant. All of that without the need to own and maintain all these vehicles.’
