Smart mobility takes center stage at Eurobike 2023
Eurobike 2023, the world's leading trade fair for the cycling industry, brought together 1900 exhibitors, innovators, and enthusiasts from around the globe. Over 30k trade visitors were registered with the same number of cycling fans over the festival days. This year's event was held for the second year in Frankfurt, Germany, here’s our recap from this year’s event.
Comodule’s booth concept was designed around the main values of connected e-bikes: safety, communication, convenience, and service. We demoed various smart electric vehicles from Riese & Müller, Canyon, CAKE, and Urban Arrow, linking those values to the vehicles’ smart features enabled by IoT. Connected e-bikes emerged as the key players at Eurobike 2023, captivating the attention of attendees. With features from GPS navigation, digital anti-theft features, data insights, to branded applications, connectivity offers peace of mind and enhanced user experience for the riders, improved services and new potentials for OEMs.
One of the remarkable aspects of the event was also the diverse shapes of connected e-bikes on display. From sleek urban commuters to rugged off-road adventurers, the versatility of vehicles was evident. Regardless of the shape, all these e-bikes shared a common thread: Despite market challenges for many businesses, Eurobike instilled optimism for the future.
The event emphasized the importance of making smart decisions and preparing for the next wave of growth. Thought leaders discussed strategies for long-term success, encouraging participants to stay adaptable and resilient. Working hard is not enough to survive in this industry in 2023. Prioritizing efficiency, data-driven development, flexibility and enhanced user experience is the key and connectivity is something that can support all that.
