Together towards more sustainable mobility: Comodule joined Zukunft Fahrrad
Comodule's vision is to make zero-emission transportation the first choice for urban transport. While our connectivity solutions enable micromobility companies to improve the riding experience and create new business models, we want to push the borders even more. We believe we can accelerate the pace of innovation in the bicycle industry by collaborating with other like-minded companies.
We joined Zukunft Fahrrad, a German association of dynamic and innovative companies from all areas of the bicycle industry: service providers, manufacturers, dealers, digital start-ups, and suppliers. These companies all have a common goal, to drive the sustainable mobility revolution. The association focuses on representing the market expertise and needs of the German bicycle industry in the local political decision-making processes.
“Zukunft Fahrrad is a great organization to create meaningful partnerships and ensure that all industry voices are heard at the highest level of policymaking. Germany is one of our biggest markets and we want to be part of the conversations that discuss where the industry is heading there,” says Teet Praks, co-founder and CEO of Comodule.
Taking the change from the streets to a political level
Zukunft Fahrrad was founded on the idea that in order to keep up with developments in mobility, the right political course must be set. The bicycle is a central element for sustainable mobility in the 21st century. It’s us, the people active in the industry who are responsible for supporting and strengthening the role of a bike in society, whatever form it comes in - from folding bikes to e-cargo bikes.
The same high demands on quality and sustainability that we place on our products, should apply across the whole mobility sector. Shifting the focus toward more sustainable mobility solutions, new jobs are created and new innovations will emerge.
"The digitization of the bicycle industry is a crucial step towards the mobility revolution. The more convenient and safer the vehicles are to handle, the more people will switch to bicycles or pedelecs in the long term. At the same time, connectivity and targeted maintenance allow for more sustainability in product design. We are pleased to welcome Comodule as a forward-looking company in the association to jointly shape a connected and sustainable mobility of the future,” says Wasilis von Rauch, CEO of Zukunft Fahrrad.
