Comodule partners with Google Cloud to empower advanced vehicle connectivity

Comodule has established a partnership with Google Cloud making it easier to embed intelligence into light electric vehicles. The combination of Comodule’s IoT hardware and Google’s software creates a full ecosystem for advanced vehicle connectivity. Mobility companies can now access Google Intelligent Products Essentials and rapidly deliver smart vehicles that adapt to their owners, provide customer insights and update features over the air.

Connectivity is the key to smarter and safer micromobility

The value of connectivity is evident in the micromobility sector, it enables vehicles to evolve with their owners’ needs, adapt to their preferences, and stay up-to-date over time. Creating engaging rides helps manufacturers to be competitive in the marketplace and find new monetization opportunities.

With a track record of 450 000 connected e-bikes and scooters across 45 countries, Comodule has worked with the biggest names in the micromobility industry. For example, enabling UBER to launch their fleets globally. For an easy and fast-to-market option Comodule provides its own software solutions to work together with its IoT hardware. For more complex applications, third-party software is integrated.

Comodule IoT hardware as the gateway to Google’s software solutions

To enhance the capabilities of its products, Comodule is now an official Google Cloud Build Partner. Comodule’s hardware and IoT platform are integrated with Google Cloud and Google Intelligent Products Essentials. The software solution enables fleets and manufacturers to rapidly build AI-powered smart products, eliminating the need to develop their own software solutions.

  • Customize vehicle settings, such as automatically locking inside a geofence around an owner’s home or work address.

  • Predict vehicle issues based on telemetry data and Google Cloud’s AI capabilities.

  • Manage and update vehicles over the air with new firmware and/or capabilities.

  • Build applications for fleet management or a service portal for dealers.

Working together to unlock the limitless value of connected micromobility

“This collaboration is an important milestone for Comodule and we’re proud to be Google’s partner in taking electric vehicle connectivity to the next level. Mobility companies can launch vehicles with advanced IoT features faster and access Google’s tools to create even more value for their riders,” says Teet Praks, Co-Founder of Comodule.

“Mobility is one of the fastest-growing segments of manufacturing in 2021. As Google Cloud, we’re thrilled to partner with Comodule to make it easy for mobility providers to connect products to the cloud and build new customer value using Google’s analytics and AI tools and with product telemetry,” says Charlie Sheridan, Google Cloud’s Manufacturing Industry Technical Director.

The first e-bikes using Comodule’s IoT hardware and Google Intelligent Products Essentials will reach the market within the next few months. To enquire more details about Comodule’s solutions or Google Intelligent Product Essentials, reach out to Comodule at sales@comodule.com.
