The product looks to target OEM’s, who are wanting to create their own brand ebike system. As both companies offer white-labelled products, manufacturers are able to differentiate away from the competition and build up a bike brand away from the components used.
On the controller side, the new ASi controller offers high flexibility, allowing bike OEMs and manufacturers to pick the best components for them. There are inbuilt end of line and dealer tests, which can be quickly evaluated via smartphone, to service and quality check the bikes quickly. Combined with high grade components bought in volume, to provide the highest quality protection levels, and efficiencies above 95%, at a low cost.
By attaching COMODULE technology manufacturers get access to two essential products:
COMODULE analytics: The online platform visualizes live performance data of the ASi controller for the manufacturer. This accelerates product development as the manufacturer knows better about the needs of their customer. Marketing and service communication channel between analytics and the user’s smartphone, furthermore enables stronger customer relationships and better customer service.
COMODULE operate: This white-labeled smartphone app is made for the bike rider and offers them a whole new interaction to their bike. Adjusting the ASi motor system to their personal preferences, locking the bike or simply navigating with a range visualization are only some examples to point out what new connected bikes with ASi controller are able to do.
Harry Wigglesworth from ASi commented saying, “More than the mutual existing customers we have, it is clear to see in all aspects on technology from cars, phones, smart watches and other tracking devices, to the new model of bike rental in China (which will expand globally), that data and connectivity are no longer the future, it is the current technology, and one which COMODULE is a leading player in. ASi and COMODULE together can provide that current technology now, while we also continue to work on the future.”
Kristjan Maruste, CEO from COMODULE also stated, “We too believe in this partnership. The flexibility of the ASi controller allows us to easily integrate our product, giving our customers the advantage of creating an unique data platform and electric bike system easily. As Harry mentioned, the bike rental schemes in China have shown how valuable data is in this connected world, and we are very excited about providing this high-level service to more and more bike brands.”
